Brothers in Arms is Completed

Gearbox's squad-based shooter will be in stores in early March.
Ubisoft announced today the completion of Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Gearbox's upcoming World War II first-person shooter. The game has now officially gone gold and will be released on the Xbox on March 1st, the PC on March 8th, and the Playstation 2 on March 15th. The game has received considerable attention due to Gearbox's attention to detail and authenticity: the game recreates the scenarios encountered by members of the 101st Airborne ("The Screaming Eagles" - see Wild Bill's related historical article), right down to the environments recreated from pictures and maps as well as the names and faces of those very soldiers. The game's campaign allows players to control squads using accurate "fire and movement" tactics, while the online component promises ten multiplayer levels and missions.
Brothers in Arms will be priced at $50 when it appears on store shelves.
